Having worked in school education for almost 40 years, I know too well the inadequacies of the traditional system of schooling. We have come so far in our knowledge of the factors that not only promote but those factors that hinder learning yet schools continue to be structured on the grossly inadequate and indeed the harmful model of nineteenth century factories.
My blog is designed to promote a better understanding of the issues and in deed the dangers our current graded school system on the health and wellbeing of young people today. If our children are subjected to a fractured school system ineffective in delivering on the two fundamental goals of schooling i.e. academic achievement and social development, our whole society will pay in the end.
